The Canadian born, singular underground producer and lyricist, Chloé Raunet aka C.A.R. released her third album on Ransom Note Records back in March. Crossing PriorStreet is an album dedicated to restlessness and the sound of Raunet reconciling two halves of herself.

In celebration friends near and far have been broken down and pieced back together tracks from the album which takes the form of Recrossing Prior Street.
With the utmost care taken to preserve C.A.R.’s gritty pop-infused aesthetic, remixes from Radioactive Man, GLOK, Richard Sen, Suzanne Kraft and Trenton Chase recontextualise the album for designed to be played loud in dark, smoke filled dance floors, or until further notice, the living-room floor.
With support from the likes of Roman Fluegel, Erol Alkan, BBC 6’s Tom Ravenscroft, HAAi, Red Axes, Jennifer Cardini and Tim Sweeney.

On remix duties here:

- Radioactive Man tackles current single Distraction. Long time friend and ex-housemate Keith Tenniswood keeps it respectfully intact, whilst introducing signature live bass, sitting amongst beautiful large atmospheric swathes of Raunet’s original

- Andy Bell’s GLOK project picks up the baton, reworking heartbreaking Becoming Strangers into an elasticated, glitchy, low slung trip with vocal snippets swirling overhead. Special.

- Heads down, lights off, Richard Sen takes Flight and Pursuit firmly to the floor for one of his best remixes of late anchoring the track to - Chloe’s “We’ll just get left behind” vocals. As heard on his recent Beats In Space mix.

And in case you missed them
- Manie Sans Délire's Trenton Chase strips back most of the vocals of Sore Loser and morphs the track into a hypnotic wave cut, propped up by driving synth lines.
- Uber remixer extraordinaire Suzanne Kraft re-treats Raunet’s vocals on Pressure Drop, twisting the track into a brooding, bubbling, late-night, dance floor thing of beauty.

Crossing Prior Street is the record you make when your love of gritty, motorik dance music matches your desire for the catharsis of pop. It’s the parts that don’t overlap, the negative space between these worlds…

These remixes go a long way to complimenting this world.
